A sumptuous array of deli-food and a choice wine collection make La Pointe an unavoidable stop off for those used to the finer things in life. They stock mostly French products: cheeses, fresh vegetables & fruits, yogurt, cooked ham, sausages, pate, butter, salmon brochettes, chocolates, chorizo sausage, French terrines, frozen berries, frozen vegetables, French escargot & frozen fish. Good selection of French & South African wines. Good quality, very clean.
NOTE: La Pointe moved just before Christmas down the street next to Bungalow bar.


The Palms Shopping Mall

The Palms is a trend-setting mall development just outside Victoria Island on the Lekki peninsula. It features three anchor stores - Shoprite supermarket, Game superstore (selling mostly electronics). There will also be a 6-screen cinema. As of January 2006, only Shoprite and Game are up and running. With the Shoprite/Game formula proving so popular in just a few weeks since opening, it is looking increasingly like there will be similar developments on the mainland in the near future.
The Media Store

It's not exaggeration to say that the Media Store has revolutionised the book market in Nigeria. At last Lagos has a Borders-style bookshop where you can buy books, drink a decent cappucino in the cafe as well as stock up on DVDs. If they don't have the book you want in stock, they do orders.

Up-market shop in Ikoyi. They stock lots of locally made craft pieces including African artwork, fabrics (old & new), jewelry and books. A good place to go if you are visiting and want to pick up something "authentic".
Falomo Shopping Centre

This ultra-modern, multi-faceted shopping center on Awolowo Road in Ikoyi has specialty shops for books, local fashion, banks, travel agencies and restaurants. There is a special area with outlets for arts and crafts, offering dresses made from local materials and a wide selection of works or arts, like paintings and sculptured objects. The popularity of Falomo Shopping Center has resulted in the commercial activity overflowing into Awolowo Road, which has several offices, restaurants, Bureau de change, etc.

Adeniran Ogunsanya Shopping Centre And Area

This shopping center is right in the heart of the Sururere residential area, and is located on the street after which it has been named. The facilities there include gift shops, fashion houses, restaurants etc. Commercial activity is rapidly increasing along the rest of the street with corner shops, fashion houses, pharmacies etc. coming up.

Ikeja Plaza

This shopping complex is located at the entrance to the commercial area of the State headquarters in Ikeja. Shops in the complex offer a wide variety of products. The Eko International Bank has a branch located in its premises.

Allen Avenue/Opebi/Toyin Street Shopping.

This area has recently and rapidly developed into a popular and successful location for high quality shopping. The attractive Alade market offers several brands of drinks, groceries, cosmetics, Jewelries and imported fabrics. The adjoining areas are attracting branches of Banks, financial institutions and fashion houses. The recently opened Oshopey Plaza has become very popular with a large variety of shops. The entire location has become a thriving commercial center with its numerous shops, offices, popular department stores – like Monoprix and Bisket –, fancy restaurants, etc. There is a popular new Chinese restaurant – the New Eko Chinese Restaurant – that serves delicious food.
